McKenna Brooks is een vastberaden en zelfverzekerde jonge turnster. Ze staat op het punt om toegelaten te worden tot het regionale gymnastiekteam, maar haar prestaties op school lopen niet in de pas. Haar leraar adviseert haar om contact op te nemen met een mentor, maar ze schaamt zich en probeert het wanhopig geheim te houden voor haar vrienden.
